Baywatch Wins Traverse City Competition!
The High School Robotics Team, Baywatch, competed in a First in Michigan district event this weekend at Traverse City Central High School as part of a 40 team field. The qualification matches started on Friday with Baywatch participating in nine of those matches. The day started out a bit rough with a few losses but the team ended the day in 4th place. Saturday morning saw three more matches and three more wins, propelling the team into 1st place and making them the captain of the top alliance in the playoffs. Along with their alliance partners, Traverse City West Titans, St Catherine of Siena Academy Constellations, and Central Lake Trobotics, Baywatch went 7-1-1 to win the competition in an overtime tie breaker. The team has qualfied for state competition on April 3-5 at Saginaw Valley University. We are so proud of this team and all that they have accomplished.
