Students will use their knowledge and skills learned in previous grades and begin to apply connection to new and exciting aspect of music including instrumental performance on the Recorder and other wind instruments.

We utilize the “Recorder Karate” curriculum by Barb Philipak and Plank Road Publishing. Harbor Springs Music Department has purchased the rights to  duplicate and share all resources with students enrolled in Harbor Springs Public Schools. Unfortunately we are unable to post the PDF’s and audio to the general public. Please contact us and we’ll happily share the curriculum with you via email or printed.

Graded Project: Practice, Learn, and Perform a recorder piece that is above the “purple belt” in recorder Karate. Any of the tunes in the “For Fun” section will count. ** The performance can be recorded (with visual) or through FaceTime or Zoom. **
