Here you will find important updates throughout the year for all band students, 5-12. As events approach, detailed schedules will be added to this site in order to better inform parents and friends of additional information. 

Congratulations to the members of the High School and Middle School Bands on their excellent performances at the MSBOA Band Festival.

  Quick schedule:


Friday, April 7

7:00am - report to the HS and load 

     12:00pm - arrive in Marquette (will stop in SI for breakfast).                

                        Short fast-food lunch stop.  

     1:00 - arrive NMU

     1:40 - Perform

     3:00 - depart for hotel

     5:30 - depart for dinner (provided by our Boosters)

     7:30 - Evening concert at Kaufmann Auditorium

     10:30 - Room check

Saturday, April 8

     7:30 - breakfast (provided)

     8:30 - load bus/head for home (will make fast food lunch 

                stop on the way)

     2:30 - arrive home

22 Swing into Spring, Nubs Nob


2  Band Concerts  6pm: 5th and 6th gr/7:30pm:  7-12th grade

3  Band Booster Meeting, 7pm, HS Band Room

29  Grades 7-12 perform at the Memorial Day Parade


4  High School Band performs at Commencement


3  July 4th Parade Rehearsal, 9am-10am, High School

4  July 4th Parade Performance, 12:30pm

30 Band Camp 2017 begins (depart 2pm via bus from HS)


4  Return home from camp (approximately 3:00pm)

Excellence from our Award Winning Band Program Producing Leaders for the Future

  • Over 250 students participate in the band program grades 5-12.
  • The Annual Holiday Collage Concert provides the absolute highest level of entertainment for our community.   
  • Harbor Springs students have earned positions in both the All-State and Michigan Youth Arts Festival Honor Bands, the highest achievement available for such ensembles in the state. 
  • High School and Middle School Concert Bands have consistently produced superior performances at festivals.
  • Marching Band has received accolades from around the state for their performances and the excitement they produce.
  • Jazz Band has become a local and state example of excellence performing at festivals and within the community with a strong following.
  • Performs at all local events such as Memorial Day and 4th of July Parades.
