Meet the Directors

Jenna Talcott
Blackbird Art Teacher and Artist

I am very excited and honored to be directing, with the assistance of Kelcey Coveyou, the 43rd annual Harbor Springs Community Schools 4th of July Art Show! This will be my second year teaching art in the Harbor Springs School District, which also happens to be the school district I graduated from. As a young child growing up in Northern Michigan I attended the 4th of July Art Show many times. Seeing the artists, their work and passion for their craft is something that definitely influenced my own interest in the arts. During my schooling, I studied ceramics, drawing, painting and textile design, which I continue to explore within my own studio. I look forward to spending many more years in the Harbor Springs area working, creating, teaching and supporting the arts within this fine northern Michigan community. I cannot wait to meet all the artists and see the many faces that come out to celebrate the arts on the 4th of July!

Kelcey Coveyou
Shay Art Teacher and Artist

The 2017-2018 school year marks my 20th year teaching art and my 12th year teaching art in Harbor Springs.  In addition to teaching art, I am an artist.  My artistic passions include painting, jewelry, photography, printmaking, and ceramics.  I have a great appreciation for quality craftsmanship and creative ideas.  I live in Harbor Springs with my husband, 2 daughters, 2 step-daughters, and 2 dogs. We are blessed to call Harbor Springs home.  For many years I have enjoyed the 4th of July Art Show; now I look forward to assisting with the 43rd Annual Harbor Springs Art Show in beautiful Zorn Park this summer.  Let's make this show the best yet!
