Let me introduce myself….
I am a 1998 graduate of Western Michigan University and began my career as a high school Health/PE teacher. During my 4 years in the classroom I earned my masters degree from Eastern Michigan University in the areas of School and Community Counseling. I then followed that path and began my career in the counseling field. Since then, I took 3 years off to have two beautiful children and move to northern Michigan. I am now starting my 2nd full year here at HSHS and love it! I enjoy spending time with students individually and assisting them in all realms of their lives. Please feel free to contact me at any point; I look forward to assisting you and your child in any way that can contribute to their success.

APPLICATION PROCESS:
1) Review what is required to apply
2) Write essays and have proof read in applicable
3) Ask instructors/community members/clergey for letters of recommendation
4) Apply- the majority of schools are pushing toward applying online. This process allows for faster turn around. So school may waive application fee if competing online.
5) Bring the school/counselor report to Mrs. Richardson. If there is not a report to print, please make sure that she is aware that you applied so proper paperwork can be sent.
***Your application WILL NOT BE COMPLETE until your transcripts and ACT scores are sent. These can only be sent from the guidance office. If the office is unaware that you applied, your info cannot be sent. It is a common mistake that one applies online and forgets to request transcripts/score be sent. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS ***
It is suggested that you have applications sent by Nov. 1, 2008. The earlier the better!!!!
