Learn to Ski at Boyne Highlands
What: The Boyne Snowsports Academy wants to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to learn to ski, a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. This program is geared towards students who are at a beginner through intermediate level, and is currently just for skiing (does not include snowboarding).
When: A 4-week session on Wednesdays, January 15th through February 5th. Students will meet at the Boyne Highlands rental area at 4:15pm to get equipment and meet instructors. Students will then have an hour long lesson from 5:00-6:00pm. Depending on number of students registered, there will also be a second session February 19th through March 12th.
Who: This program is open to all Harbor Springs Public Schools' students, Kindergarten through 5th grade. You must pre-register by January 10th to participate in session one. We are also looking for volunteer parent chaperones. Chaperones receive a free lift ticket! Enrollment is limited and will be given on a first come, first serve basis, based on students' age and skill level.
Cost: $60.00 per 4-week session. This includes ski rental, lift ticket, a one-hour lesson, and if the student's skill level qualifies, as determined by the instructors, free skiing for an hour after their lesson.
