Kindergarten-First Grade Looping

Greetings families!  Welcome to Kindergarten!  This year is going to be a great time for the children and myself.  I am so excited to get the year started with some fun learning experiences.

I am Jennifer Wixson.  It has been a pleasure to be part of the Blackbird team since 2004. I have enjoyed Harbor Springs living since 1997.

My love for children and desire to teach started at a very young age.   I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Michigan State University and my Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Purdue University.  My occupational experiences include teaching for Head Start, Preschool and Kindergarten.  More recently, I served as Director of Holy Childhood Day Care and Preschool from 1997-2004. In addition I teach part-time for North Central Michigan College’s Early Childhood Education Department.  I am so happy to be spending my days with children and I am proud to be part of the Harbor Springs faculty!
