Title I Reading

My name is Gail Tolzdorf.  I am the Title 1 Reading teacher at Blackbird Elementary School.  I work with first and second grade students to  help them strengthen their reading skills.  It is a priviledge to work with your children and help them develop a love of reading and learning.  Working with children and witnessing the "ah-ha" moments as they learn a new skill is great fun for me.

I graduated from Michigan State University where I received a Bachelor and Masters degree in Elementary Education and an Educational Specialist degree in Administration.  GO SPARTANS!

Teaching is my passion.  I have taught in many different settings, including elementary schools, middle schools, high school GED classes, and an adult special needs program.

I feel very fortunate to live in such a friendly, supportive community.
