Title I Reading

I am the Title 1 Reading teacher who works primarily with reading students at Blackbird.

I graduated form MSU where I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Elementary Education and an Educational Specialist’s degree in Administration. GO SPARTANS!

I taught in the Pontiac School District for almost 30 years before retiring a year ago. I have taught in elementary schools, middle schools, high school GED classes, and even in an adult special needs program. My focus for quite some time has been developing middle school reading and language arts curriculums, training middle school reading teachers, and teaching at-risk struggling readers. Working with children and witnessing their “ah-ha” moments as they learn a new skill is great fun for me. I am very excited about meeting and working with your children.

I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to live in such a beautiful area and be a part of the Harbor Springs Public Schools family.
